INTRODUCTION OVERVIEW

  • A Vietnamese visa is a document issued by a competent Vietnamese agency, allowing foreigners to enter Vietnam.
  • Electronic visas are issued via electronic transactions, valid for no more than 90 days, and are valid once or multiple times.
  • Electronic visas are issued to foreigners who have passports and are not subject to provisions in Clauses 1, 2, 3 and 4, Article 8 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.

    Can I apply for an E-Visa if I am in Vietnam?

    Are not. Electronic visa (E-Visa) only applies to foreigners who are outside Vietnam at the time of application.
    If you are in Vietnam and your visa is about to expire, you need to extend your visa or change your visa type according to current regulations. You cannot apply for a new E-Visa.

    How long does processing take?

    Typical processing time is 3–5 business days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
    In some cases, additional information needs to be verified, the time may be longer.

    If rejected, can I get a refund?

    Are not. The E-Visa application fee is non-refundable in all cases, even if the application is rejected or the declared information is incorrect.

    Difference between single-entry and multiple-entry?

    Single entry: You can only enter Vietnam once during the visa term. If you leave the country, your visa will expire

    Multiple entry: Allowed to enter and exit Vietnam multiple times within the visa term. Suitable for people who plan to move to another country and then return to Vietnam 

    Can I change ports of entry after the visa is issued?

    It is not recommended and is not recommended.
    The border gate of entry on E-Visa must be the same as the registered border gate.
